Row New York had the opportunity to participate in the Perry Outreach Program this summer thanks to Drs. Jo Hannafin and Sommer Hamoud and the Hospital for Special Surgery.The program was started two years ago in order to encourage high school girls to pursue careers in the interrelated disciplines of Orthopaedic Surgery and Engineering. Row New York held its first annual Waffle, Erg, and Movie day on Saturday. There were about 25 ergs set up (the novices got to go running instead) and Titanic playing at the front of the room. On Saturday night, we crammed 60 Row New York parents into our office for our annual Parents' Dinner. The Queens Borough President's office is supporting a multimillion dollar renovation of our current boathouse in Queens.
