Fun Volunteer Opportunity With Row New York This Saturday!

Okay, the title of this blog entry could be misleading, but here's the scoop. We need about 30 people to help us move some (full disclosure, 350) sandbags. Why? There is a gap between the bottom of our boathouse and the parking lot that it's sitting on and if enough wind gets under it we could wind up with the whole thing flying onto the Grand Central. The less dramatic problem is that the gap lets in water and rodents.

So, the sandbags are at the boathouse and we're getting people together on Saturday to help us move them into the gap. Why should you come?

1) It's a great way to help Row New York.
2) It's a good work out!
3) We will provide food and warm beverages!
4) You'll be working with other Row New York volunteers---all of whom are pretty amazing people.

If you're interested, please contact Nathan Young at nathan@rownewyork.org for details.

Thanks!
